The intersection of Kossuth Lajos utca and Széchenyi utca is a critical, one might say chaotic point in the traffic of Dunakeszi. Pedestrians complain that there are no zebra crossings, car traffic is difficult, there are serious traffic jams in the morning, it is possible to drive off lower-order streets after a long wait, and buses only make the situation more difficult. Now something seems to have started.
Deputy mayor Dávid Sipos, the local government representative of the district, published a video on his social media page in which he talks about how they are working to solve the traffic problems. A regional water pipeline runs under the junction, which was replaced by DMRV Zrt. when the pipe broke last summer, and now new works have been started.
In the video, we can hear that the deputy mayor is conducting new negotiations with DMRV Zrt. and Magyar Közút – as he puts it – and the first signs of this can already be seen in the area. Like the motorists who drive there every day, we are waiting with interest to see how and when the problems of the traffic junction will be solved.
