Pep Guardiola (51) said goodbye to FC Barcelona after four years. At Manchester City, after seven years together, the time of the champion coach could end.

Pep Guardiola is undoubtedly one of the best coaches in the history of football. He won the Champions League twice with FC Barcelona and was twice elected World Manager of the Year. In total, he has won 14 titles with the Catalans.

Guardiola was no less successful at Bayern, though the crowning glory was missed in the Champions League. The 51-year-old has been in charge of Manchester City since 2016. Since then, City have dominated the strong Premier League. Pep became champion four times with the Sky Blues.

Guardiola is still awaiting his third premier-class title with City. He could make his last attempt with City this season. Guardiola’s contract at the Etihad Stadium expires at the end of June next year.

Discussions on expanding cooperation will take place shortly. According to the English newspaper Daily mail a trip to Abu Dhabi is planned to hold talks with Manchester City bosses over an extension.

Guardiola hasn’t made a decision yet

However, City obviously need to shake. The local newspaper Manchester Evening News reports: The outcome of the talks is open. Guardiola has not yet made a decision on his future.

During the break for the World Cup, the 51-year-old doesn’t just want to think about his future, but also about the season so far. “My staff and I will have time to reflect on what we have done well and what we can do better,” announced the former FC Barcelona player and coach.
