One legend – street phones – goes down in history. For several generations, they were a mystery anyway.
This is one of my last chances to be able to talk on the street phone, because I’m from the generation we didn’t need. Very soon they go down in history, and have heard so many conversations in the past.
Phone always connects us, phone divides us is sung in the popular song of Vasil Naidenov. Well, this will always be relevant, but phones are different now, and street phones will not be widely supported.
Public telephones are a true legend around the world. Superman uses them to disguise himself in them. And in the Harry Potter books, they appear as a red telephone box outside the Ministry of Magic, which magicians use to access the ministry.
However, the situation with our phones is difficult – most of them do not work, and calling cards that were used to pay for calls have not been sold for a long time. Maybe it makes sense, because interest in them in recent years is going to zero.
In the last 10 years alone, calls have dropped from 11 million minutes to less than 1 million, or an average of one street phone is used for 15 seconds a day.
The abolition of public apparatus will actually end their more than 100-year history in Bulgaria. From the first ones in our country only 5 numbers could be chosen.
