Kochi ∙ Kochi head coach Kibu Vikuna and ISL football club Kerala Blasters have parted ways, according to the club.
But Kibu, 49, is said to have escaped. The decision came a few days ago. The 4-0 defeat in the second half against Hyderabad FC hastened things. “This will be my last match,” Kibu was quoted as saying before the game.
Why resign?
Kibu, a Spaniard, was adamant that the team selection was flawed. Kibu’s selection was limited to Vicente Gomez and Hwande, who made the team halfway through.

Anyone new coach
Former Bengaluru FC coach Carles Quadrat has been named in the rumors. The decision will be taken after the 2nd week of March.
