Why WhatsApp stopped? Find out what the app itself says about access problems

In recent days the life of those who try to use, at the same speed as before, the WhatsApp. In Brazil, the main messaging application has presented frequent instabilities, both in the version for smartphones and in the desktop, in the WhatsApp Web. But in the end, what is going on?

According to WhatsApp itself, it is not an isolated fact that users are noticing problems.

According to WhatsApp, what is happening is the process of implementing “what’s new in the version of WhatsApp Web and Desktop”.

“With this update, it will be possible to connect the WhatsApp on up to four linked devices at the same time, without requiring the phone to be online. Each of these devices will connect to WhatsApp independently, maintaining the same level of privacy and security that people have come to expect from the app backed by end-to-end encryption. These changes started rolling out to users in January, and will roll out to all iOS users in March and Android users in April.”

Despite acknowledging the problem, the app does not present any short-term solution. It says that “feedback from users has shown that there is still some way to go” and that it “is aware that people are experiencing delays loading their messages securely on WhatsApp Web and Desktop.”

“We are already working on improvements to get the experience back to normal on all linked devices.”
