Why the “eight white men” celebrated their Mini-Abi-50

It was very nice at the unusual anniversary class reunion of eight older gentlemen who met again on Saturday in Bad Knigshofen, sometimes after five years. In June 1970, 20 senior primates at the Knigshofen Secondary School had the certificate of the university director Dr. Kentmann received. There was only a 13th grade. Arthur Hofmann, former city and district councilor, was her class leader. One of them, Walter Khlwein, no longer lives, like the two teachers.

So far, they had come together from all over Germany in their former school location eight times since the first class reunion, the ten-year-old. The 27 remaining almost two years ago set the date of their Golden Abi 50 on June 27, 2020. Then Corona thwarted them. They waited until the restrictions and conditions would have loosened. At the beginning of June it was agreed to postpone the Abi 50 until the next year. It would have become too dangerous a risk for some of the entire risk group.

Some, a total of eight of the nineteen, defied Corona, especially as the organizer offered it, and if you still need to get to Bad Knigshofen on June 27, you know my number. The longest journey from them was by Franz Hackel from Pfeffenhausen near Landshut. The planned highlights fell victim to the red pencil. The eight women spent a totally decelerated afternoon and evening in the bathing city, with definitely more time to talk than with a full program. After drinking coffee in the Frankentherme, people found themselves in the pilgrimage church in Ipthausen, the living room of Josef Treutlein, now rector and pilgrim pastor at Kppele in Wrzburg.

Here I had my first organist position, the born Knigshfer began his church tour, which his seven classmates listened to with prayer. But everyone agreed on one thing without any discussion: if this should have been the replacement Mini-Abi-50, then the Maxi-Abi-50 + 1 must be available next year, ideally vaccinated. That they have already scheduled for June 12, 2021.
