The design of the headdress was deliberately made to match her mother, Princess of Wales, who also chose the intricately detailed diadem instead of the tiara.

Quoted from Vogue, the crown design used by the two seems to refer to the motif used during this series of coronations, namely the Green Man.

The Green Man is an ancient character from English folklore, representing spring and rebirth, often depicted wearing a crown of oak, ivy, and hawthorn, and a heraldic flower.

King Charles himself is known to have a deep interest in nature, gardening and efforts to preserve the environment.
