A viewer of a show “Without Taboos” has sent a letter and photos with a gorgeous garden guest he sees for the first time.
Simon, who was surprised by a spider in the garden:
“Good afternoon! Would it be interesting if you could find out what this is about the spider that settled in my gladiolus garden? What is a cottage for him? And what he wore “lace”. A real artist! ”

An explanation of what Simona then encountered in her flowering garden is given by an expert from the Latvian Museum of Nature.
Uģis Piterāns, entomologist of the Latvian Museum of Nature:
“The spider in the picture is quite interesting. And it’s called the wasp spider. In the picture, of course, you can see why such a name, because the spider itself is striped, yellow-black like a wasp’s belly. The spider itself is relatively harmless.
This is one of the largest spiders in Latvia. And if we take it in our hands, in theory, he can bite. And that bite will be a little painful. But this is not dangerous, because there are no such poisonous spiders in Latvia that can do us great harm. But, of course, you have to be careful when holding the biggest spiders. ”
