Who can not read should not sign anything

San Lorenzo: It’s bad enough not being able to read. But it’s even worse when you sign a document and lose your house.

Fermina Flor had been working as a domestic servant in an estate in the city of San Lorenzo for a long time. Her employers made her sign a document promising that she would be insured with the IPS Social Welfare Agency, but it was the document of the purchase contract for her property.

A week ago, Flor was thrown out on the street with her entire family. She was kicked out of her house, where she had lived for almost 16 years.

Speaking to journalists, the woman said she worked as a domestic servant on the Prieto Dure family estate. They told her that she would be enrolled in the IPS Institute’s insurance and asked her to sign a document.

However, it turned out that the letter was a contract to sell their house in the Laurelty neighborhood of San Lorenzo. “I signed the scam, I can’t read, and they allegedly made me sign to take out IPS insurance,” the woman complained.

Flor currently needs food and the assistance of a lawyer. For this purpose she provided her telephone number (0984) 750103 if one can give her help.

“I’m still in the middle of life. I thank God that he has allowed me to breathe, ”said Flor, who also thanked the neighbors for their solidarity in the face of this situation.
