White House Explains Biden’s “Liberation of Iran” Statements | News

A White House spokesperson said on Friday that President Joe Biden was expressing his solidarity with protesters in Iran by telling a crowd of his supporters: “We will liberate Iran.”

White House National Security spokesman John Kirby made the remarks to reporters the day after Biden made his remarks at a rally in California.

It is not the first time that the White House has denied the statements of President Joe Biden (80), and provides clarifications and explanations on the matter.

On Friday morning, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said that “the 1979 Islamic revolution liberated Iran”, in response to US President Joe Biden’s promise to “liberate” it.

The Iranian president added – in a speech on the anniversary of the assault on the American embassy in Tehran in 1979 – that Washington “has carried out more than 62 coups in the countries of the world”, noting that America “wants to present himself as a champion of the freedom of nations “.

Since last September 16 in Iran, protests continue for the death of the girl, Mahsa Amini, 3 days after her arrest by the “moral police” in Tehran for violating the rules of modesty, and Tehran accuses foreign parties of being behind these protests , led by the United States.
