  • The NYC Test & Trace Corps is distributing free COVID-19 home test kits to New Yorkers at 14 iconic cultural sites across the city and 27 branches of the New York Public Library, Queens Public Library and Brooklyn Public Library .

NEW YORK — The NYC Test & Trace Corps is distributing free home COVID-19 test kits to New Yorkers at 14 iconic cultural sites around the city and 27 branches of the New York Public Library, the Queens Public Library and the Brooklyn Public Library.

Weekly walk-in distributions of these kits began Monday as an additional measure to mitigate the ongoing pandemic. These tests will be given in order of arrival.

“Our mission remains to make testing resources accessible to all New Yorkers to safely and reliably manage the pandemic,” said Dr. Ted Long, executive director of the NYC Test & Trace Corps and senior vice president of ambulatory care and population health at NYC Health + Hospitals, said in a statement.

“Distributing home tests at cultural sites and libraries provides familiar and prominent places for people to get the resources they need to find out if they have COVID-19 and return to the beloved destinations that make our city so special,” Long said. .

Participating cultural sites and library branches and their distribution hours are:

CULTURAL SITES

THE BRONX

  • Bronx Museum of the Arts: los martes de 1 a 4 p.m.
  • Wave Hill: Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BROOKLYN

Tests can be picked up at the following libraries on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday from 1pm to 5pm and Thursday from 12pm to 7pm, except at the Central Library. (Some branches, indicated with a *, offer additional pick-up times on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm)
