A young mother thinks her eight-month-old baby is in the safe hands of her then 22-year-old boyfriend. But while she is bubbling elsewhere, the fuses blow at him in her home in Austerlitz. He beats the girl, tries to strangle her, throws her violently on the bed, wants to suffocate her with a blanket and hits so hard that all her ribs break. She miraculously survives.
