The report broadcast by TF1 Saturday 23 January 2021 tells the story of three Lyonnais arrived at Marseille during the summer to do business on the occasion of a concert organized in the Velodrome stadium. 50,000 people were expected there.
In their van rented in a Vénissieux hypermarket, thousands of cans soda, beer and other drinks intended for sale on the forecourt of the Stade Vélodrome. Obviously illegal since the Lyonnais do not have an authorization issued by the municipality of Marseille only to recognized professional sellers
The hunt for illegal work and street vendors
The report is devoted to a fraud repression team that scours markets, shops and restaurants to track down illegal work and the sale of products posing health hazards to consumers.
In front of the Vélodrome, the Lyonnais hastily sold their stock of refreshing drinks. In the middle of the stands in order, he walked around their coolers to wait for the customer, the bulk of the stock remaining stashed in the van parked in a nearby parking lot. No luck, the fraud repression inspectors and the police officers who accompanied them quickly spotted them.
€ 10,000 in expected revenue
In the truck, inspectors found several thousand cans. The goods, worth € 5,000 were seized. And the € 5,000 in expected profit went up in smoke.
It was empty and without a penny in their pocket that the Lyonnais returned to Lyon after a very bad day.
