The death of KGPAA Mangkunegara (MN) IX, leaves questions related to the holder of leadership at Pura Mangkunegaran. Two sons Mangkunegara IX, GPH Paundrakarna Suryanegara soul and GPH Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo speak up about this succession.
To note, Mangkunegara IX was married twice. First with Bung Karno’s third daughter, Sukmawati Soekarnoputri, and finally with Prisca Marina who is now the empress.
From his first marriage with Sukmawati was born GPH Paundrakarna Jiwa Suryanegara and GRA Putri Agung Suniwati (Menur). Then from his second marriage with Marina, GPH Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo and GRA Ancilla Sura Sudjiwo were born.
“Anyone who stood up (on the throne), we wish the best for Pura Mangkunegaran. We continue the concepts and traditions of culture and the survival of the Mangkunegaran Temple, especially the welfare of the servants and relatives and all,” said Paundra, when met by AFP after the funeral procession. KGPAA Mangkunegara IX in Astana Girilayu, Karanganyar, Sunday (15/8).
Paundra admitted that he did not know who would replace his father. According to him, it will be decided through a large family meeting. “Whoever it is will be brought together, there will be a big family meeting,” he explained.
Paundra did not know when this meeting was held. Party Mangkunegaran Temple Currently, the focus is on the funeral of the late Mangkunegara IX.
“From what I know from experience, this is like letting the day calm down first. Let everything be fine, don’t be surprised, right. All of that takes a process, my father to be a good king, according to the program the concept also needs a process, it’s like taking office only,” he said.
The same thing was said GPH Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo. Bhre said he was still focused on his father’s funeral.
“Then maybe the portion is not with us. It’s not something we can talk about honestly, and I can’t say much,” said Bhre in a separate interview.
“I also don’t understand that, of course there has been no discussion, because we were a few days before this and some time after this, our focus remains on Romo, and of course we only focus on the best for Romo,” he added.
