With the beginning of 2021, the popular messaging application “WhatsApp” will end support for some smartphones running the “Android” and “iOS” systems.
And “WhatsApp” will not work at the beginning of the new year on devices that do not run the “Android 4.0.3” and iOS 9 operating system at least, according to the “Financial Express” newspaper, according to “Sputnik”.
The WhatsApp support page recommended the owners of those phones to update their operating system to the latest version in order to keep the application running on their phones.
As for iPhones, even the iPhone 4 models will not contain the WhatsApp application in 2021, while iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone users will have to IPhone 6s; update their operating system to iOS 9 or other recent updates, in case they wish to continue using WhatsApp.
As for Android phones, the following devices will be lost: HTC Desire, Motorola Droid Razr, LG Optimus Black and Samsung Galaxy S2 to support the WhatsApp application by the end of 2020.
And some users may have to buy a new smartphone to get the latest OS upgrades.
