Tricksters are now also taking advantage of the WhatsApp messenger service. A pensioner from Hesse received a message that the police warns about. You can read here why the affected person reacted in exactly the right way:

Alsfeld – On Friday evening, the pensioner from the Vogelsberg* (Hessen*) received a short message on WhatsApp, reports the police. In this, the scammers pretended to be the daughter of the 73-year-old. “At the same time, the swindlers claimed that the phone number that was displayed and was previously unknown to the woman was the new availability of the relatives,” the police explain the brazen scam.
As reported by fuldaerzeitung.de*, the pensioner responded correctly to the WhatsApp message.

Due to the defective old mobile phone, the daughter can no longer access her online banking, but has to make an urgent appointment transfer of around 4000 euros. *fuldaerzeitung.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
