WhatsApp notifications in a new look
The fresh look is not spectacular, but rather a small upgrade. This first new feature in 2022 is already available in the current beta version (2.22.1.1) of WhatsApp under iOS 15. The innovation: Among other things, profile photos now appear when there is a notification of a new WhatsApp message. So instead of just a username and a preview of the message, the iPhone display also shows the profile picture of the user who sends you a message via WhatsApp. Anyone who uses Apple’s own messenger iMessage (messaging app) is already familiar with it. When new messages are received, this service shows the sender’s profile picture directly in the notification.
