Whatsapp messages deleted? Use this new feature to reset it – be careful online

JAKARTA, Waspada.co.id – WhatsApp has reportedly introduced a new feature called Accidental Delete, which allows users to restore messages that have been accidentally deleted.

WhatsApp has released this feature to all users who have updated WhatsApp beta to V2.22.18.13 and it can be used on both Android and iOS.

Summarized from various sources, this feature was presented by WhatsApp after it saw that many users made the wrong choice when they wanted to delete messages between “delete for me” and “delete for all”.

“We have heard from many WhatsApp users that when they want to delete a message, they don’t always hit the right key. So, just in time for the holidays, we’re excited to share a new level of protection on WhatsApp with you,” WhatsApp said.

This accidental deletion feature is an alert window that appears for five seconds after deleting the message. You can restore the message if you accidentally delete it.

With this update, users will be able to restore deleted messages by clicking “Undo” if they deleted them by clicking the “Delete for me” option instead of “Delete for everyone”.

When a message is deleted using the “delete for me” option, a snackbar appears informing the user that the message was deleted but can be recovered by tapping “undo”.

So the quickest way to check if the feature is available for your account is to delete the message for yourself.

However, this feature is still under development, so it’s uncertain when it will officially launch. But this feature will be released in the coming days. (okz/tech/pel/d1)
