The new Newsletters feature, according to the technical site “WABetaInfo”, is a tool for broadcasting news from an individual to a large group of individuals, which facilitates the sending of relevant updates to news groups of all kinds.
The site added that these updates and bulletins will not be protected by end-to-end encryption technology, but the phone numbers of subscribers will be hidden.
