In the times of Corona, more and more people are using messengers to keep in touch with each other. With WhatsApp, the group calls are now to be expanded.

A popular function of the widely used messenger app WhatsApp is to be expanded. This is reported by the usually well-informed portal “WABetaInfo”. Accordingly, WhatsApp wants to increase the number of participants in voice and video calls.

It is currently possible to take group calls with up to four people. The decision to increase this number is a firm one. At the moment, however, it is not clear how many people will increase the limit. All that is known is that it will be an even number. In the future, at least up to six users should be able to take part in a call. But even more users are conceivable.

Here you can order “WhatsApp: The understandable instructions. Suitable for all Android smartphones and iPhones – ideal for seniors” for grandma and grandpa.

It is not yet certain when the function will officially be expanded. However, one thing should be certain: When the time comes, users have to update their app to the latest version in order to be able to use the extended function.
