The function has already been rolled out on Android. For iOS it is currently available from beta version 2.21.230.15. It’s a new privacy setting.
Hide online status for selected contacts
In the future, you will be able to better define who can see your online status, your information and your profile picture. This makes it possible to explicitly select contacts who are not allowed to see your information.
Currently only available for a few
For the time being, this option is only available to a select few testers. It is currently not known when a broader rollout will take place. We will of course contact you again.
