The house that was used for the filming of the mythical horror film Scream is rented on Airbnb, a good idea for a Halloween party, right?
After 1.5 years of pandemic, we really need to escape and find the thrills of real life. The season is ripe for goosebumps as Halloween is just around the corner. And as the borders of the USA are finally open to vaccinated travelers, you may be able to go and experience this period which is still better celebrated across the Atlantic than with us.
Airbnb has just announced, in a press release, that the Californian house of the horror film “Scream” (1996) will be available for rent for three overnight stays for only $ 5… at this price you understand that it is a marketing coup in honor of the 25th anniversary of the film and (especially) in anticipation of the next installment “Scream” which should be released in 2022.

The stay (booked from October 12 at 10 a.m. West Coast Time, it will be necessary to act quickly, places will be “expensive”), includes a virtual welcome from the film’s sheriff, Dewey Riley, played by David Arquette, a marathon of the four previous “Scream” movies on VHS, a phone line to call the movie’s killer (Ghostface) and popular ’90s snacks in the US including Jiffy Pop and (of course) pizza. The lucky ones will also be able to leave with goodies from the saga.
And for those who can’t book a homestay, you can still have a virtual experience with original “Scream” screenwriter Kevin Williamson. Participants will discover the behind-the-scenes secrets of the franchise on October 28.
