Psoriasis is an autoimmune, chronic and relapsing inflammatory disease. Perhaps the result of a combination of factors. The causes of this pathology can be both genetic and environmental. Psoriasis is, therefore, a chronic dermatitis that manifests itself with erythema, flaking and thickening of the skin. Often it is also associated with alterations of the metabolism increasing the risk of cardiovascular disorders. In the most aggressive forms, Psoriasis also involves the joints and is defined as arthropathic because it is associated with arthritis. In short, not a simple dermatitis but a real pathology that can also become disabling and lead to the inability to work. Let’s try, then, to understand what the person suffering from Psoriasis is entitled to.
Disability and Psoriasis
First of all, it must be said that Psoriasis is not included in the ministerial table of pathologies that automatically entitle you to civil disability. who we have listed the diseases that entitle you to a disability pension and included in the tables. However, those suffering from Psoriasis in its most severe forms can apply for civil disability for chronic disease.For example, erythrodermic and pustular psoriasis can be assessed by the doctor of the ASL in its severity and compared to other disabling diseases. As is the case with polymyositis or dermatomyositis, diseases for which a disability of 35% is recognized.
What are the concessions recognized
When the ASL commission expresses a favorable opinion on the invalidity application and ascertains as in the cases above, a percentage of invalidity of 35%, those suffering from Psoriasis are entitled to:
– Subsidized VAT and a 19% tax deduction on the purchase of the car
– exemption from car tax and transcription fees
– tax breaks for expenses incurred for carers and domestic workers
– deductions for dependent family members
– health care paid by the State upon specific medical prescription
-exemption of the health ticket for the disease if provided by the Region of origin
– 20% contribution for the installation of driving devices for patients with a special license
– check for disabled people for circulation, parking and parking
– extension of the optional extension for maternity leave up to 3 years of life of the child or to two hours of daily leave upon certificate of serious handicap.
Anyone suffering from Psoriasis can, however, be declared invalid with a percentage even to a greater extent associated with other pathologies and be entitled to the other facilities provided by law.
