Starting from Covid up to the general increase in prices, unfortunately there are different elements that negatively affect the budget of families and companies. Being able to support the various expenses for many it is increasingly difficult and for this reason it is necessary to implement ad hoc measures.

Precisely in this context, the difficulties encountered by the gas station attendants who find themselves having to deal with the heavy economic repercussions due to expensive fuel. A situation, the latter, which could become the cause of a blockade in the sector. So let’s go into the details and see what’s going on.

Expensive fuel, gas station workers strike: all you need to know

The worrying general increase in prices unfortunately has a considerable impact on the balance sheet of both households and companies. Indeed, in this context, we have already seen how following the expensive bills risk the closing of petrol stations at night. A hypothesis that will soon turn into a concrete reality.

This is since starting from Monday 14 March petrol pump owners will decide to close the self-service facilities at night. This is precisely to try to combat expensive fuels.

As explained by Enzo Nettis, president of Faib-Confesercenti, the association of petrol pump operators: “We announced it in recent days, now we are forced to do it. Petrol and diesel increase, but the revenue from gas stations remains fixed: about 3 and a half cents per liter. On the other hand, the liters dispensed decrease due to the increase in prices and management costs increase“.

Going into the details, it is necessary to know that the average increase in electricity bills for gas stations, according to what Nettis pointed out, “he was born in 135%; in one year it would be 10 thousand euros more for each one plant. Thus the very survival of many companies is put at risk. We are aware that our decision may cause some inconvenience for consumers, but we are also convinced that we have their solidarity, because we and they are equally victims of this situation.“.

Precisely for this reason, the president of Faib-Confesercenti added: “We have written to parliamentarians to raise awareness of the government need for immediate action“. On the other hand, it is a difficult context to manage in which the intervention of the executive is necessary through ad hoc measures, precisely in order to be able to guarantee valid support to businesses and families who see their purchasing power.

  1. My opinion is that there is a
    never ending
    amount of oil
to last a few hundred of years, but not
enough is being drilled in order to keep gasoline prices up up & up.
The price of a barrel of oil controls the prices in this world
    Solution:
    Increase the production of
oil. lowering the price of s barrel of oil !!!
    When Donald
Trump first became our President, his first request was to increase the production of
    oil.
    That is the only solution!
    *what are you
    waiting for?
