the legal battle Johnny Depp y Amber Heard continues, while the actress continues to testify in the defamation trial, where the actor is suing her for an article published in The Washington Post. In said publication, the actress described herself as a victim of domestic abuse and although she does not mention Depp’s name, the actor assures that this ended her career.
On Monday, Heard sat down again on the defendant’s bench to answer questions from the actor’s lawyers. The lawyer Camille Vásquez questioned the actress about the donation of the divorce agreement.
When Depp and Heard arrived at a divorce settlement In 2016, Heard announced that he would donate the 7 million to charity. Back then, the actress had said that she would split her donations to two organizations: the American Civil Liberties Union and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Previously, Amber had assured that she had completed the donation to both organizations. However, at the start of the trial, an executive from the American Civil Liberties Union testified and said they never received the $3.5 million sum of money. Heard made the same statement during last year’s trial in the UK, in the trial against the newspaper of The Sunin which Depp was ultimately defeated.
In the last hours, the actress assured that still plans to fulfill the donation of the money, but has not yet done so due to the lawsuit filed by Depp, which demands compensation of 50 million dollars. After the court heard earlier statements from Heard, Dr. Vasquez asked her, “But hadn’t she donated her entire $7 million settlement to charity at this point?”
Heard responded that the statement was “incorrect,” clarifying that she “he fully committed”. The attorney doubled down, asking, “Try to answer my question, sitting here today, haven’t you donated the $7 million divorce settlement to charity?” Heard responded, “I use pledge and donation synonymously,” to which Vasquez responded, “I don’t.”
“I still intend to keep all my promises,” Heard said. “I would love for Johnny to stop suing me so I could do it.” This makes it clear that Amber Heard lied about it and that she has not yet fulfilled the promise to donate said sum of money to the above mentioned organizations.
The actress also answered questions about the allegations of abuse and physical violence that the doctor exercised against her, and also referred to her professional career. There she mentioned that the studio cut part of her participation in the sequel to Aquaman. In the next few days she will have to continue answering questions about her marriage to Depp, and then hear the judge’s conclusion at the end of May.
