What a shame! Hundreds of Luxury Cars Still Smell Of Factory Must Be Demolished

Jakarta

Early last December, a tornado hit the Bowling Green Factory, Kentucky, owned by General Motors. The factory is responsible for producing the Corvette C8.

Quoted from Autoblog, Wednesday (12/29/2021) the storm has damaged 122 Corvettes that have finished production. The plan was that the 122 Corvette C8 would be sent by consumers, but the Tornado disaster changed everything.

According to the Corvette Action Center, 122 Corvettes were damaged beyond repair. Hundreds of luxury cars will be removed. GM will contact dealers for affected customers and give them a rescheduled date.

Korlen Werner via CorvetteBlogger posted Corvette cars lined up in the vehicle graveyard, waiting to be destroyed. Oh, what a sad sight, huh?

The damage that occurred to the factory was quite significant and even stopped production. The delay was compounded by the fact that the car that was damaged by the hurricane still needed to be replaced.

“We can confirm that a fire caused by tornado activity at the Bowling Green Assembly plant on Saturday morning (December 11) has caused damage to the facility, including the roof and employee entrances,” said a Bowling Green factory spokesman.

The number of damaged cars can increase. Because there are still Corvette units parked outside the facility for deliveries that are still being checked for damage.

For the record, this car has indeed become one of the sports cars that its lovers have been waiting for. it was even recorded that the first production 2020 model Corvette C8 was redeemed by the manufacturer up to USD 3 million or 40 billion.
