Rescuers say the 3-meter-long animal is so weakened that it has virtually no chance of survival. “The whale is suffering badly now, we will have to inject,” said Julia Cable of British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
The rescue operation began around 10 p.m. Sunday evening, and about four hours later, the whale, believed to be a minke whale, was taken to a safer place. Even then, experts indicated that it did not look good for the marine animal.
