Football defender Vladimír Coufal recorded the opening goal of the West Ham football players, who defeated the last Norwich 2-0 in the 18th round of the English league. National team captain Tomáš Souček was missing from the United team for the first time in the Premier League season due to illness, Alex Král did not get off the bench on the lawn.
Jarrod Bowen scored both West Ham goals. At first he was not awarded a goal due to offside, but in the 42nd minute there was no doubt about the validity of his goal header after Coufal’s center. Bowen sealed West Ham’s third league win in a row in the 83rd minute, when his shot was acknowledged by video.
Coach David Moyes’ charges moved to fourth place in the table securing the Champions League ahead of Arsenal, who has a two-point loss but a match for good.

Chelsea and Tottenham League Cup semi-finals were also played on Wednesday. One week ago, Thomas Tuchel’s charges defeated Hotspur 2-0, today in retaliation at his stadium 1-0 thanks to Antonio Rüdiger’s 18th minute goal. On Sunday, February 27, Chelsea will fight for the trophy against the best of Liverpool – Arsenal.
Rüdiger decided to retaliate around Mason Mount. Teh keeper Pierluigi Gollini didn ́t reach the center and the ball bounced from the back of the German defender to the crossbar and into the goal. Tottenham’s chances were then thwarted by a video referee.
Liverpool will play a double match with Arsenal on Thursday, retaliation is on the agenda for the week.
