Werder Bremen is back in first place

Düsseldorf (dpa) – Werder Bremen is getting closer and closer to promotion to the Bundesliga – for Hamburger SV and FC Schalke 04, on the other hand, things are looking worse again. In Gelsenkirchen even so much that the separation from coach Dimitrios Grammozis was announced.

After Bremen’s 2-1 win against Dynamo Dresden on Sunday, HSV and Schalke are already six points behind relegation place three in the second division.

In Bremen, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer (2nd) gave courageous guests the lead on the debut of their new coach Guerino Capretti. Two goals from Niclas Füllkrug (16th/45th) then led the Bremen team, unbeaten in ten games, to their 14th win of the season. Dresden slipped to the relegation place.

In the duel between the clubs threatened with relegation, Daniel Ginczek (4th), Matthias Zimmermann (35th) and Khaled Narey (50th) scored in Fortuna Düsseldorf’s 3-0 win against bottom club FC Ingolstadt. The Rhinelanders celebrated their third win in four games with new coach Daniel Thioune.

Erzgebirge Aue remains penultimate despite the 1-0 win over Jahn Regensburg on Sunday. On the other hand, Rostock left Schalke in 16th place. SV Sandhausen improved to 14th place by beating Hannover 96 3-1. Holstein Kiel and SC Paderborn had already split 3-4 on Friday from the hosts’ point of view.
