Wels: closure of the Western Railway line lifted

A freight train partially derailed between Wels and Marchtrenk (Wels-Land district) on Friday. Four wagons are believed to have jumped off the rails, but no one was injured. The operation was still ongoing in the late afternoon.

At around 5:20 p.m., passengers at Linz main station were informed by an announcement that the blockage had been lifted and that efforts were being made to resume scheduled train services.
