In this very hot summer in Brescia, weekends full of events follow one another without stopping, including festivals, markets and cultural events.
Until Sunday, in Clusane d’Iseo the forty-first edition of the Baked Tench Week continues: it will be possible to taste the most famous lake fish of Sebino in the participating restaurants. The menu includes baked tench with polenta, dessert, coffee, mineral water and half a bottle of wine at a cost of 25 euros per person. Still on the subject of gluttony, there is Calvagese in Festa (with spit and rich menu), the Street Food Festival in Sirmione and the Rugby Festival in Gussago, a real institution between rivers of beer and the specialties of the stand gastronomic.
Chapter vintage and antiques markets: the most awaited appointments are in Darfo, Sarnico and Valeggio sul Mincio. Here, in the fluvial village of the Lower Garda, there will be about 100 exhibitors who will also present high quality pieces (there is often a stand of only Chanel) and it will also be possible to choose between objects of various kinds, furniture and collectibles.
And, now, it’s time for music and fun: the “Frequenze Rock Festival” will be staged at the Parco del Conicchio in Corte Franca, a new multi-genre festival with lots of live music, while – in San Felice del Benaco – after the success from the first edition the review “The water ways” returns, with classical music concerts (and not only) in some of the most evocative locations in the Garda town.
Finally, in the city, the Brescia Photo Festival continues with exhibitions and events: at the Museum of Santa Giulia these are the last days to see the exhibition “Weston. Edward, Brett, Cole, Cara” (closes July 24), with many masterpieces of a dynasty of photographers; is one of the most important events of the Italian museum season.
