Weekend events 10 – 13 June in Brescia and its province: what to do on Saturday and Sunday

It will be a weekend of heat … and music. In fact, the Festa dell’Opera arrives in Brescia, the great event now in its eleventh edition, which finally – with the fewer restrictions related to the pandemic – will bring the public back to the vast urban spaces of the city squares and streets, from dawn to midnight with over 40 events.

Of course, that’s not the only appointment scheduled. Many festivals and village festivals, with the inevitable food stands, live concerts and DJ sets: Rovato, Barbariga, Sarnico, Lonato and Artogne, you will be spoiled for choice.

Not to be missed, on Lake Garda, is the Wind Festival Champion, the first edition of the fair dedicated to the wind: kitesurfing, wingfoil, windsurfing and sailing. An incubator of initiatives with always new protagonists, including sport, music and lots of fun.

As for cultural events, the Brescia Photo Festival continues in the city with many exhibitions and events, while – at Palazzo Martinengo – it will be the last opportunity to visit “Women in art, from Titian to Boldini”. In Desenzano, on the other hand, in the castle there is the exhibition “Banksy is who Banksy Does!”, Dedicated to the mysterious artist from Bristol. Also on the Benaco, in Gargnano it will be possible to visit Villa Bettoni, a real hidden jewel, which has always left its guests speechless for the precious frescoes, sculptures, elegant eighteenth-century gardens directly on the lake shore.
