Weed plantation and possibly found explosive after fire in flat Sneek | Inland

A number of surrounding houses had to be evacuated. During the eviction of one of the adjacent houses, the police subsequently found a hemp plantation and a possible explosive device.

The case is under investigation. As long as it is not clear whether it is indeed an explosive, the residents cannot return home. They are cared for by family and friends, a police spokeswoman said.

Hospital

Four people were injured in the fire on the third floor. They have been taken to hospital, says a spokeswoman for the fire service.

Due to the large amount of smoke that drifted towards the center, an NL alert has been issued. The population was urged to close windows and doors.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
