Astrid Joosten has already had to postpone her wedding twice due to the corona crisis. She tells that From Telegraph.
Originally the plan was to get married in June. “The cards had already been sent around, my dress was selected, everything was ready”, said the presenter (62). The celebration was postponed to September, but that date was also canceled because it was not possible to “get married in a cozy way”.
Her partner, entrepreneur Rob Peters, proposed to her last winter during a safari trip. “We were having dinner on the beach, and suddenly he was on his knee next to me, with a ring. He was so sure that he wants to grow old with me, that he thought: I’ll have a beautiful ring made, naughty shoes and ask her. I didn’t see it coming at all and was of course emotional. ” Joosten and Peters have been together for two years.
“We don’t have a new date yet, but it will certainly be next year”, says Joosten. “Without corona I would have been married for months!”
Joosten was previously married to Willem Eemnes until his death in 2012.
