Nogui Acosta, Minister of Finance of Costa Rica Emphasized the nature of the digital customs system transformation. Highlighting how the system represents a major shift away from outdated tools, he said, “This project will give us a modern system. We will be moving away from a system that has been integrated for more than 10 years, which has had its share of flaws and problems. And today we have a world-class system. […] That not only helps us traceability But it will also help us use artificial intelligence to manage imports and exports in this country.”
The digital customs system will handle a wide range of trade operations.
