Weather, Snow | There will be more snow in southern Norway

Southern Norway can expect more snow weather this week. The last two days have been difficult driving conditions and several traffic accidents.


More snow is on its way to Agder and Telemark in the next few days. From Monday evening, it can be 10 to 25 centimeters in 24 hours in the central and outer areas west of Skien, writes the Meteorological Institute on Twitter.

At the far end of the coast of Agder, precipitation can come as sleet or rain.


On Saturday, there were several traffic accidents in Agder as a result of demanding driving conditions. On the E18 in Grimstad, two cars were involved in an accident that led to one lane having to be closed, writes NRK. In Lyngdal, an ATV collided with a car, and two people were sent to hospital.

– It has gone in one now for two days, there have been an enormous number of assignments, says general manager Jan Ove Thygesen in Agder bilberging.

Increased winds are also expected from the southeast on Monday, especially in Rogaland and south of Hordaland. A yellow danger warning has been issued for a stiff gale and storm in several places along the coast.
