Weather – Offenbach am Main – Winter ends in Hesse with a touch of spring – Panorama

Offenbach (dpa) – For meteorologists, spring does not begin until March 1st, but on the last day of winter there is already a hint of spring, as was the case at the weekend: On Monday, the German Weather Service (DWD) expects sunny and dry weather in Hesse with temperatures from eight to eleven degrees. Only at higher altitudes does the thermometer not climb above six degrees. At night, on the other hand, winter is not yet beaten: the temperatures drop to minus two to minus six degrees, isolated frost is possible.

On Tuesday, at the official start of spring, there will be loose clouds from the west. According to DWD information, it often remains clear to sunny with daily highs of seven to ten degrees. Despite the clouds, it can get up to twelve degrees warm on Wednesday. The nights remain cool, even minus degrees are possible.

Already at the weekend, many excursionists took advantage of the beautiful weather and made their way to the Rhön. The parking spaces at the Wasserkuppe were running out, the police reported on Sunday. Visitors are therefore asked to travel by public transport.
