Offenbach (dpa / lhe) – Summer prospects for the holiday, rain on Saturday: At first a lot of sun and sometimes very warm temperatures of up to 29 degrees under the influence of high “Quirinius” says the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach before upcoming Ascension weekend ahead. Over the course of Friday, however, clouds will appear. There may be rain and temperatures will drop, as a DWD meteorologist said.
According to the forecast, it will remain dry almost everywhere in Hesse on Wednesday at highs of 19 to 25 degrees. Only to the east of the Fulda can a few drops fall during the day. The holiday also remains sunny, according to the DWD: With maximum values between 24 degrees in the north and east of the country and 27 degrees on the Rhine and Main, a few clouds appear during the day, but it remains dry.
On Friday, the maximum values even scratch the 30-degree mark with a maximum of 24 to 29 degrees. In the course of the day, according to the DWD, dense clouds sometimes appear with a low branch, light showers are possible towards evening. In the night to Saturday the DWD expects showers like rain, which can continue during the day. According to the DWD spokesman, the maximum temperatures drop to 20 to 24 degrees.
