Weather – Offenbach am Main:Snow forecast in parts of NRW: ice warning

Essen (dpa/lnw) – It is expected to snow in parts of North Rhine-Westphalia at higher altitudes on Friday. The German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Friday that there could be light snow or snow drifts in East Westphalia and Sauerland. In some areas it may become slippery due to fresh snow or frost.
The DWD forecasts temperatures of two to four degrees in NRW on Friday. There should be precipitation during the day, but at lower elevations it should be raining and not snowing. In the night until Saturday it cools down to minus three degrees, especially in the mountains it could snow a bit. Above an elevation of 300 meters there should be one to three centimeters of new snow.
According to the DWD, Saturday and Sunday will remain cold with temperatures ranging from zero to four degrees. With the exception of a few snowflakes on Saturday, there should be mostly no precipitation over the weekend.
