Offenbach (dpa / lnw) – The night went lightly in most parts of North Rhine-Westphalia with regard to possible storms. Now the German Weather Service (DWD) warns again of heavy rain and thunderstorms. From the Lower Rhine to the Münsterland, there may initially be individual thunderstorms on Tuesday, as the DWD announced on Tuesday morning. Heavy rain with amounts between 20 and 35 liters per square meter is possible for several hours. Thunderstorms with hail and gusts of 85 kilometers per hour can occur locally. The temperature rises to 21 to 24 degrees on Tuesday, in the higher mountains to about 19 degrees.

Wednesday night will also be uncomfortable with sometimes heavy rain and thunderstorms. At least the DWD does not rule out storms with heavy rain. The temperatures drop to 16 to 11 degrees, in parts of the Eifel to around 10 degrees. On Wednesday it rains partly like a shower. There can also be thunderstorms during the day. The maximum temperatures are between 19 and 24 degrees, in the higher mountains around 18 degrees.
