Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – A lot of sun and early summer warmth await the people of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland in the coming week. On Monday and Tuesday, the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach expects up to 23 degrees, it remains dry. In the middle of the week there are even 24 degrees, even in the Bergland the 20-degree mark can be reached, as the DWD announced on Sunday. The “Keywan” high is still determining the weather, from Wednesday onwards it will be the next high-pressure area called “Loris”, which settles over Central Europe. As a result of the dry and warm weather, the DWD increases the risk of forest fires. On Easter weekend, a little wet from above will bring some relief, said meteorologist Sebastian Altnau.
