The red warning issued by the IRM regarding high heat remains in effect on Tuesday, mainly in low-altitude areas and in cities.

The day of Tuesday will again be marked by very hot weather with sunny periods but sometimes also a lot of clouds. Mainly this afternoon, heat storms could again break out locally with the risk of a lot of precipitation and possibly hail. The maximum will be between 30 and 35 or 36 degrees, depending on the clearings. The wind will be light to at times moderate from variable direction or from easterly. In the afternoon, a moderate northeasterly breeze will develop over the coast.

The red alert remains in effect on Tuesday and this alert could possibly be extended this afternoon / evening to Wednesday (provisionally put in orange). Note that for the eastern provinces of the country, the temperatures will be high on the Ardennes relief, but to a lesser extent compared to the lower altitudes.

Tonight and next night, very mild again with lows of 18 to 23 degrees. The sky will be partly cloudy and localized thunderstorm foci will persist, mainly in the evening. In places there will be a risk of a lot of precipitation and possibly hail. The wind will be light to moderate and will move everywhere east to southeast.

Still heat and instability for Wednesday

This Wednesday, the weather will still be quite sunny but unstable. During the day, the risk of localized thunderstorms will increase. It will again be very hot with maximums of 28 degrees on the heights of the Ardennes at 34 or 35 degrees in the center, or even locally a little more. The wind will be light to moderate from the southeast; at the coast, it will veer to the north-northeast sector.

The risk of a thunderstorm will increase from the southwest on Thursday. Showers could be intense. The maxima will still be between 26 or 27 degrees at the coast and 31 degrees in the northeast.

On Friday, we still expect periods of showers. The maxima will be between 24 degrees at the coast as well as in the Ardennes, and 27 degrees in Campine, under a moderate south to southwest wind.

Weekend always variable

On Saturday, the sky will remain changeable with the risk of a local shower. However, the weather will remain dry in many places. The maximums will be between 22 and 26 degrees.

On Sunday, the cloudiness will also be variable. The weather will often become dry, but at the end of the day the risk of showers (thunderstorms) will increase. It will temporarily be a little warmer with highs of 23 to 28 degrees or locally a little more.
