New revelations in the case of arms trafficking seized in Touba and for which Saliou Thiam, aged 65, was arrested.
The supplier of the weapons was apprehended by the police. This is Cheikh Lô, a trader who was arrested in 2019 by the gendarmerie in Pekesse in possession of 750 ammunition belonging to the army.
Saliou Thiam and his alleged arms supplier are currently in custody at the Gouye Mbinde police station. They should be referred to the prosecution tomorrow Thursday.
But that’s not all, because suspects have been identified in marabout families.
