He was standing on Sixth Avenue, preparing for a press conference at the Hilton Hotel, where he announced that he had succeeded in making the first cell phone call in history.

Of course, the first mobile phone cannot be compared to the current generation of phones at all. It weighed 794 grams, measured 33 centimeters, charged for ten hours, and the battery lasted half an hour.

Still, Cooper values ​​older devices more than today’s smartphones. He considers them to be too complex and poorly ergonomically designed. “Whenever I’m on the phone and I don’t have an earpiece, I have to put this flat piece of material against my face and hold my arm up in an awkward position,” he said. in an interview with CNBC.

According to him, this is the reason why the entire market will have to be transformed in the future. “The next generation will already have the phone embedded directly under the skin, behind the ears,” Cooper explained his vision.

“Such devices will not need to be charged because your body is the perfect charger. When you eat, your body creates energy, right? At the same time, the operation of the handset requires only a little energy,” he added.

His vision suggests a future stage of humanity where we will routinely have our bodies enhanced with powerful microchips. For example, the company Neuralink, which is founded by the American multimillionaire Elon Musk, is also trying to connect the human brain with a computer.
