We have been waiting for this for a long time.
The first beta version of iOS 16.4 added support for Russian and Ukrainian languages in the swipe keyboard. You can now type using gestures by simply swiping your fingers across the keyboard.
The corresponding toggle switch is available in the menu Settings -> General -> Keyboards -> Swipe to type.
