It is still unclear when Samsung Galaxy S21 FE may appear, with some believing in next week and January second, but a new leak leans towards the latter – and even suggests a launch date of January 11.
We’ve heard conflicting reports about the potential launch of the Galaxy S21 FE, but this is the first exact date we’re told. It comes from the leak Jon Prosser, who went out on Twitter to mention a launch date of January 11, 2022. The known leak Max Weinbach then confirmed this in a response to Prossers tweet.
Samsung’s S21 FE is delayed until January, as far as I know. Launch is rescheduled for January 11, 2022.October 14, 2021

Prosser claimed in one follow-up tweet that the S21 FE had been delayed once again, backing up previous discussions that Samsung had planned the phone’s release earlier (probably around September when the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was released in 2020), but that problems then forced them to postpone the launch. Rumors have suggested that inventory and production problems were behind previous delays, and possibly this one as well.
So why is S21 FE not here yet?
Samsung has not yet confirmed that there is actually a Galaxy S21 FE that is on the way to the market, but enough rumors have claimed its existence that we feel pretty confident that one is on the way. If it were to appear at the same time of year as its predecessor, we would have expected a launch in September, but rumors of its delay reached us before then – blaming the global chipset shortage.
This is the same vague reason we think is behind the decision to shut down work on the Samsung Galaxy Note 21. Even work on the Galaxy S21 FE was suspended according to a Samsung employee, where among other things S21 FE support pages deleted from the internet. One another reputation suggested that the mobile would finally arrive in October, and a Samsung Unpacked event planned for it the 20th of October raised suspicions that the S21 FE would finally be launched then.
But further a rumor moved the supposed launch window to January, which had given the S21 FE a release window early in the year that is usually reserved for this year’s flagship mobiles (in this case the Samsung Galaxy S22). Prossers tweet gives us at least a date to hope for, although it is unclear if the S21 FE will replace the S22 or if we will see both mobiles presented at the same time.
