The 71-year-old journalist recalled a night he “will never forget” when he received a very unexpected call. “At 10:30 pm my phone rings and it is the commander of the Paris Fire Department who calls me and says: ‘We need you'”, he explained. “Need me at 10:30 pm?” What’s going on ? He asked, very surprised.

“We have someone who wants to kill himself and he wants to talk to you. He’s on a rooftop in Paris. We have a firefighter who is two meters from him, you absolutely have to take him, ”the firefighter, who had obtained the number of the radio presenter through the RMC editorial office, explained to him. Anne Nivat’s husband has obviously agreed to discuss with this suicidal man in order to bring him to his senses. “And so, the firefighter who was two meters from this gentleman handed him his phone and I started talking to him. We spoke for more than an hour that evening, ”he confided to Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine and her team.
