The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the cast of the lead roles in the anticipated series The Last of Us for HBO.
Joela should play Pedro Pascal (Mandalorian, Game of Thrones, Wonder Woman 1984).
Ellie will play another actor from the Game of Thrones, Bella Ramsey.
Although we may have imagined someone older or “rougher” in the role of Joel (Pedro Pascal in some roles seems like a sleek elegan), it will certainly be interesting to see how he looks really overgrown.
Bella may also look a little younger / smaller than Ellie, as we know her from the (first part) of the game, but she can convince us of that in the Game of Thrones – and since then she’s only a few years old.
It is certainly not possible to deny both of them that they are excellent actors who have always shone in their previous roles.
According to the first reactions of the fans (who, for example, dreamed Hugh Jackman in the role of Joel), however, this is a cast that we will have to get used to for a while and will have to surprise us in action. But this would not be the first time that a surprising combination has proved to be great – Heath Ledger in the role of the Joker can be mentioned for all of them, and although many had fun of Robert Pattinson during the Twilight film series, today they agree that he looks surprisingly good in the role of Batman.
