“We don’t want you”: heckled by “yellow vests”, Jean-Marie Bigard takes refuge in a cafe

The incident occurred this Saturday morning when the comedian was planning to take part in one of the demonstrations.

“We don’t want you”. Jean-Marie Bigard, report LCI, was heckled by “yellow vests” this Saturday in Paris. To the point that the comedian, who was obviously not welcome on the Place de la Bourse, had to take refuge in a cafe, specify our colleagues. BFMTV broadcast footage of the incident.

Jean-Marie Bigard procrastinated before making the decision to parade. He first announced on Facebook that he was giving up after the unfriendly statements of Jérômes Rodrigues towards the police, before announcing on Friday that he had reached an agreement to take part in a different procession.

After discussion with the yellow vests representatives, we reached an agreement for tomorrow’s demo.

The first demonstration of the return of the yellow vests, Saturday in Paris and in several large provincial towns, is a test for the government, which fears more than anything a new outbreak of violence on the Champs-Elysées where all gatherings have been prohibited.

Some 100 to 150 protesters were gathered by midday in the calm Place Wagram, in the west of the capital, from where one of the two authorized demonstrations must leave at 1 p.m.

A second authorized event – between Place de Bourse, in central Paris and Porte de Champerret – also brought together a few hundred people.

The police headquarters announced on its Twitter account that it had made 128 arrests at noon as part of this demonstration, where it mobilized in particular 160 motorcycles from the brigades of the repression of violent action.

New Defensive Grenade

While other gatherings are also planned in the provinces, as in Montpellier or Nîmes, the Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin, had presented the day before the main lines of the new doctrine of maintenance of order of the government, which must make it possible to guarantee both security and the right to demonstrate.

From this Saturday, the police will use a new defensive grenade, called de-encirclement (GMD), supposed to be less dangerous than the previous one and whose use will be supervised by “supervisors”.
