American Jourdan Louise Johnson (27) says that her watermelon filter can be so widely used that it is temporarily unavailable.

Every day she has given updates on how much money the filter has generated. Since Johnson published the TikTok filter at the beginning of November, it has been used over 8.5 million times.

Old symbol
The use of watermelon as a symbol of Palestinian solidarity is not new. The use of the symbol originated in 1967, when the Palestinian flag was made illegal by Israel during the Six Day War.
